Much can be learned about the history of a location (and its people), a general time period (and its people), and even a specific industry (and its people). Certainly, this includes the death / funeral / undertaker industry! Old newspapers are full of advertsiements and artcles about good undertakers, bad undertakers, undertakers running for public office,...and so on. Furthermore, old news articles even provide insight into the funeral director business and how it has changed, for better or worse, over the years.
